Baojun (寶駿/宝骏) RS-5. 2018 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1451 cm³ (I4 DOHC). First new-generation Baojun model, far more premium than anything the brand had offered before, on a new, highly adaptable R platform and avant-garde styling, in an attempt to reverse its declining sales. Launched at Guangzhou in December 2018, on the market April 2019. CVT transmission with eight-speed simulation. Excellent ride and braking; automatic adjustable damping helped filter out bumps. Bosch Level 2 driving assistance and adaptive cruise control as standard. Engine not tuned for performance, but comfort, with refined and quiet interior.
