BYD Song Max. 2017 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1497 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Very stylish MPV, the first styled by BYD’s ex-Audi head of design, Wolfgang Egger. Well priced seven-seater, and very popular at launch, becoming BYD’s best seller. Interior not quite as special, but good use of technology with the central screen dealing with entertainment, air conditioning and other information. Turbo 1·5 at launch, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
