BYD G5. 2014–17 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1497 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Yet another variation on the theme: a glasshouse looking suspiciously like that of a Toyota Corolla (E150), but a few more detail changes, with sharp, rising waistline and visually large boot (which was not, in fact, that commodious, at 450 l). Simple interior at a glance, but full of tech toys. Mediocre interior space. Turbo 1·5 mated well to gearbox, with fairly precise steering. Slotted between the Surui and Qin.
