From AutocadeAustin Victoria. 1972–5 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/F, 1275 cm³ (I4 OHV). Spanish version of the Michelotti-designed Austin Apache, based on the ADO16, identifiable by droopy front bumper (to incorporate indicators). Mechanically the same as the Austin 1300 Mk II and the MG 1300 S which it replaced in the Spanish market, but with a number of improvements. Still stable, with good brakes and steering, and respectable fuel economy. Seats were far more comfortable, and reclined, and the larger boot was good for luggage, but the Hydrolastic suspension was uncomfortable against more modern competition, and the heater was ineffective.
Marque: Austin | Predecessors: Austin 1100, 1300 Mk II, MG 1100, 1300
