While Vantage usually creeps up in Aston Martin history as a performance version of a regular model, three times in its history it has been the official model name. The first was for a base version of the Aston Martin V8, before returning in the 1990s for a high-performance Aston Martin Virage. In 2017, it became the official name of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage successor.
