Aston Martin V8. 1996–2000 (prod. 101 coupé, 63 Volante). 2-door coupé, 2-door LWB convertible. F/R, 5340 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Essentially a tamer version of the Aston Martin Vantage (1993–2000) without the superchargers, delivering 349 hp and 369 lb ft of torque. Four-speed automatic standard. Not offered in the US due to type approval issues. Very heavy stretched Volante convertible (from 1997) allowed rear passengers of average height to be accommodated comfortably. Similar changes to Vantage, with Citroën CX door mirrors giving way to Ford items; and Mondeo door handles added during run.
