Alfa Romeo Giulia (Tipo 952). 2015 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/R, F/A, 1995 cm³ petrol, 2143 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2927 cm³ (V6 DOHC). After an absence in the large saloon segment of several years, Alfa Romeo unveiled its Giulia in 2015, with production commencing in August. Revived name of the Tipo 105 model. The first model shown was the 2·9 biturbo, developing 510 PS, with an engine developed exclusively by Ferrari technicians for Alfa Romeo. R&D—in a speedy two-and-a-half years—was done separately from the rest of the Fiat group, with a clean-sheet design and 50–50 weight distribution. Lesser models shown at Genève in 2016.
