I.DE.A-penned successor to 75, on Tipo 3 platform, switching to front-wheel drive. Twin Spark and V6s the best performers. Mid-term changes, and wide-body look, from 1995. From then, used as the basis for touring car competition models, helping to establish its credibility as a sporting saloon. Alfa’s quality woes stayed with the 155, meaning electrical and mechanical glitches.
