First year coincided with the 50th anniversary of the line. No change in wheelbase, but the car was much longer, with a great deal going to the trunk. Six-passenger accommodation for Regency; Touring had five seats. Well equipped, with driver’s airbag and ABS as standard. Base Buick engine with 170 hp, Touring with 205 hp thanks to a supercharger. Supercharged V6 gets 225 hp in 1994 and became an option for the Elite model; Touring dropped that year, and the Ninety-Eight got a minor restyling. Series II V6 from 1995, supercharged option deleted for 1996.
Marque: Oldsmobile | Model: Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight | Predecessor: Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight (1985–90) | Successors: Oldsmobile Regency, Oldsmobile Aurora (1995–9)
