Autocade is an inter­national car cyclo­pædia that’s geo­­graphically unbiased, carefully edited for enthu­­siasts and media who want a quick, accurate reference. Mid-sized saloon spawned from larger S80 platform, but with sportier image and coupé roofline. Shared platform also with V70 estate. Mid-term facelift in 2005. Comfortable and refined but not as sporting as styling suggested. Considered another departure from staid, boxy appearance of older Volvos, including the S70, which it replaced.
