Subaru Alcyone (AX4/AX7/AX9). 1985–91 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/A, 1781 cm³ (F4 OHC), 2672 cm³ (F6 OHC). Very stylish, wedge-shaped range-topper, a total departure from Subarus that had gone before. Turbo 1·8 initially. Advanced specification for its time, with torque split and ABS for VX model in 1987. Sold in some markets as Vortex.
