One of the most successful MGs, using some MGA components, but with unitary construction and more powerful 1·8, even if it lost power due to emissions’ regulations in some markets over the run. Increasingly dated as time wore on, with no direct replacement reaching production immediately after its run. A stylish fastback GT body emerged in 1965, to which the ex-Buick V8 was mated in 1973.
