MG MGB
From AutocadeOne of the most successful MGs, using some MGA components, but with unitary construction and more powerful 1·8, even if it lost power due to emissions’ regulations in some markets over the run. Increasingly dated as time wore on, with no direct replacement immediately after production ceased (though the Triumph TR7 did become British Leyland’s corporate sports’ car). A stylish fastback GT body emerged in 1965, to which the ex-Buick V8 was mated in 1973.
