Opel Corsa C.jpg

Opel Corsa/Chevrolet Novo Corsa/Chevrolet Corsa/Chevrolet Montana. 2000–12 (prod. n/a). 3-, 4- and 5-door saloon, 2- and 4-door van. 2-door pick-up truck, F/F, 973, 986 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1199, 1229, 1364, 1389, 1796 cm³ petrol, 1248, 1686 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Opel’s new Corsa looked more a evolved version of previous model: its GM4300 platform was related to its predecessor’s GM4200. Van called Corsa Combo, including a ludospace passenger version with four doors and windows called Corsa Combo Tour. Chevrolet do Brasil released a Chevrolet Montana model, essentially a Corsa pick-up truck, while four-door model developed there. Mid-term revisions in 2003 with new engines. Sold as Vauxhall Corsa in UK and Holden Barina in Australasia. Fairly plain but refined, though it never was a class leader. Very successful in UK, though sales began declining in Germany, leading to greater changes for Corsa D. Replaced in Australasia by vastly inferior Daewoo Kalos from December 2005.
