Opel Admiral. 1964–8 (prod. 55,876). 4-door saloon. F/R, 2473, 2605 cm³ (I6 OHV), 2784 cm³ (I6 CIH), 4638 cm³ (V8 OHV). Mid-range model out of the KAD (Kapitän, Admiral, Diplomat) series, reviving prewar name, with grid-pattern grille distinguishing it. Equipped with 2·6 six initially; larger CIH six from 1965. Automatic V8 from March 1965. Smallest engine, a 2·5, for Austrian market between 1966 and 1967. Two-carburettor six from 1967, the year of a minor facelift.
