Nissan Gloria (Y34). 1999–2004 (prod. n/a). 4-door hardtop sedan. F/R, F/A, 2495, 2987 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 2498 cm³ (I6 DOHC), 4494 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Gloria takes a slightly more sporty route, and Richard Branson sells the car in Japanese advertisements. Single pillared hardtop style. Replaced both the Y33 hardtop and the Leopard. Fortieth anniversary model launched 2000, commemorating the nameplate (which actually began in 1959). Inline six for all-wheel-drive models. DVD navigation available in special models from 2001. Mid-term changes in 2001, with Nissan badge appearing on grille instead of a Gloria one; interior changes. US model, the Infiniti M45, shown at New York in 2002, with VK45DE (V8) engine. Production ceased in 2004, after a 45-year continuous run of the Gloria nameplate.
