Nissan Gloria (Y33). 1995–9 (prod. n/a). 4-door hardtop sedan. F/R, F/A, 1995, 2960 cm³ (V6 OHC), 2495, 2498, 2987 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 2825 cm³ diesel (I6 OHC). Tenth-generation Gloria mirrored changes with Cedric line. More elegant and refined; SRS airbags standard for driver’s and passenger’s seats. VQ engines improved on earlier V6s with alloy block and head. Four-, rather than five-speed automatic transmission, a cost-reduction measure given Nissan’s worsening financial state. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link at rear. Gran Turismo Altima the top trim level, distinct from Cedric, featuring four round headlights. Four-wheel drive (with RB engine that worked with the transmission) from 1997 along with mid-term changes.
