Double wishbones at front, multi-link with solid rear axle at rear, on ladder-frame chassis. Minor changes in 2012, including new Lexus family “spindle” grille. Fuel economy in the teens (US mpg), according to the EPA. Surprisingly refined to drive, despite truck origins, with strong acceleration from 5·7. Build quality a major strength, though most will regard it as excessive. Exports only: despite launch of the Lexus brand in Japan, it is not sold on the home market.
