From AutocadeHyundai Trajet XG (FO). 1999–2008 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1975, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1991 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 2657 cm³ petrol, 2657 cm³ LPG (V6 DOHC). Minivan sharing a platform with the Hyundai Grandeur (XG), and gained the XG tag for the domestic market to tie it in with the luxury sedan. Equus suspension, giving it a better ride, though never class-leading. Well equipped, though looked anonymous. Heavy, with adequate handling. Middle-of-the-road refinement and performance. Initially successful, especially LPG version in the face of rising petrol prices. Diesel from 2000. Briefly exported (2001–3) to Japan. World Cup special in 2002. Mid-term changes in 2004. Off the domestic market due to poor sales in 2007, but continued for export into 2008. Its niche was filled in Korea by passenger versions of the Starex van.
