2017 Buick LaCrosse.jpg

Buick LaCrosse. 2017–23 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1490, 1998, 2457 cm³ petrol, 1796 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC), 3649 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Completely new LaCrosse, with looks from the well regarded Avenir show car. Longer, lower and wider, with most of the gain in the wheelbase. Ventiports more subtle this time. Engine numbers roughly the same as before, but the unit itself was lighter. Car itself was lighter by 300 lb compared with predecessor. Very refined, far improved interior, and ride helped by GM’s continuous damping system. New five-link rear suspension, with HiPer Strut front suspension available. Unveiled at 2015 LA show as a 2017 model. Refreshed for 2019 in China, but deleted in US as Hamtramck plant closed in February 2019.

Manufacturing locations: Hamtramck, Michigan, USA; Shanghai, China

Marque: Buick | Model: Buick LaCrosse | Predecessor: Buick LaCrosse (2010–16) | Successor: Buick LaCrosse (2023–)
