Alfa Romeo gets a compact crossover on the SCCS platform related to the Jeep Compass (MP)’s (in turn related to the Fiat Grande Punto’s), and its first hybrid. Mild hybrid system (0·8 kWh capacity) mated to 1·5. Retro touches in interior with good perceived quality; tuned more for comfort and economy rather than performance. Automatic gearbox slow on shifts. Twinned with Dodge Hornet. Two-litre for North American markets.
