Premium hatchback replacing Runx and rivalling Volkswagen Golf, sold in most countries as the successor to the Corolla hatchback (and sold as Corolla in Australia and New Zealand). Originally based on the wider, export Toyota Corolla (E150) platform. The Corolla name, in turn, replaced the Auris for 2019, though the badge was adopted in Taiwan.
