Suzuki Alto (HA24S/HA24V). 2004–9 (prod. 270,000 approx. sold). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 658 cm³ (I3 DOHC). No more three-door version as Suzuki launched its sixth-generation Alto, moving the van spec on to the five-door body. Simpler K6A engine, without VVT. Keyless entry on some models, developing 40 kW (54 PS); driver and passenger airbags now standard. Supplied to Mazda as its fifth-generation Carol, and to Nissan as the Pino (on sale January 2007–January 2010). The Altos reached their 10 millionth sale during this generation; 30th anniversary Alto released 2009.
