Odd-looking SUV on the GM Theta platform shared with [[Chevrolet Equinox (2005–9)]], [[Pontiac Torrent]] and [[Opel Antara]]. CVT from 2002 to 2005 inclusive, fitted to insipid 2·2, but it proved unreliable; replaced by five-speed automatic. Plastic body panels, and less than stellar build quality. Three-litre V6 to 2004; 3·5 250 hp engine from [[Honda]] (the best engine of the lot) from 2005 along with optional four-wheel drive. Uninspiring at the start with uncommunicative steering and average handling, till Saturn began offering Red Line performance models (with the Honda engine) and the eco-friendly Green Line hybrids. Interior never that great till a 2006 revamp, when quality went up.
