Revision as of 12:42, 23 November 2013File:1971 Peugeot 304 Coupé.jpg Peugeot 304. 1969–80 (prod. 1,178,423). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate, 3-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/F, 1127, 1288, 1290 cm³ petrol, 1357, 1548 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Development of 204 but with more modern front-end styling apeing larger 504. Saloon had greater differences to 204; estate and van models shared largely the same rear end as 204. Coupé and cabriolet were also similar to 204, arriving in 1970, but lasting only till 1975; van from 1977. Roomy, thanks to front-wheel drive and transverse engine. Popular, with over a million units made, and helped with OHC engines, but not as modern-looking as Volkswagen Golf I and Citroën GS thanks to the 204 roots. Saloon to 1979; estate to 1980.
