Modern, crisp styling for second-generation Manta, with addition of fastback (CC, for Combi Coupé) model from 1977. Styling aped that of [[Chevrolet Monza (1975–80)]]. Also sold as [[Vauxhall Cavalier Mk I|Vauxhall Cavalier]] Coupé, with different front end ([[Vauxhall Cavalier Mk I|see separate entry]]). Last [[Opel]] sold in UK before [[Vauxhall]] badge supplanted whole range. Facelift in 1982. Formed basis of Manta 400 Group B rally car (240 made with 2410 cm³ engine), and lessons learned on handling were incorporated into road cars, especially second-phase models after 1982.
