Nissan Magnite. 2020 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Crossover on the CMF-A+ platform shared with Renault Triber, with two 1·0-litre options, developing either 72 hp or, with a turbocharger, 99 hp. Appealing introductory price at ₹4·99 lakh, though top models were priced at ₹9·35 lakh. Originally meant to be a Datsun before Nissan considered winding down its budget brand, hence the grille design fitting with the likes of the Datsun Go. Eight-inch centre touchscreen, segment-first Apple Carplay and Android Auto functionality, dual airbags and traction control among features. Cheaply made, with only two airbags inside.
