2001 Nissan Cima.jpg

Nissan Cima (F50). 2001–10 (prod. n/a). F/R, F/A, 2987 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 4494 cm³ (V8 DOHC). LL-platform Cima gets cleaned-up looks thanks to Teruo Miyauchi, and becomes the basis of the fourth-generation (and last) Nissan President (PGF50). Exported as Infiniti Q45. More elegant exterior and interior, and V8 particularly good, with Nissan’s first direct-injection V8. Boot not as big as expected for a car of this bulk (almost cracking 5 m in length; Infiniti exceeded this). First Japanese car with indicators in the door mirrors, and the world’s first lane-departure warning system (optional), which worked up to 100 km/h. Fifteenth anniversary model in 2002. Shown at Beijing that year, and launched later in China with left-hand drive. Twentieth anniversary limited edition in 2007. Larger bumpers for 2008, taking Cima over 5 m in length. Discontinued in 2010, along with President.

Manufacturing location: Tochigi, Tochigi, Japan

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Cima | Predecessor: Nissan Cima (FY33) | Successor: Nissan Cima (HGY51)
