Very evolutionary styling for ninth-generation Cedric. Dual airbags up front for all models. Aluminium alloy block and heads to save weight. Four-speed automatic, rather than five-speed of the previous Cedric. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link for rear. Exported to the Middle East in LHD; RHD to Hong Kong and Singapore. Mid-term changes in 1997.
