Twin of the Suzuki Alto (HA12), now made by Suzuki for Mazda under an OEM deal. Identical initially—a straight badge-engineering job—with the upscale trim level called MeLady. From 2001, the mid-term facelift saw a different front bumper incorporating the Mazda grille.
