Latest revision as of 08:00, 17 September 2019Jensen FF. 1966–71 (prod. 318, incl. 15 Mk III). 3-door coupé. F/F, 6276 cm³ (V8 OHV). Four-wheel-drive Ferguson Formula drivetrain with Chrysler 383 in³ V8 (325 bhp) made for a potent mix in British supercar. Jensen furthered its credentials for advanced engineering with first four-wheel-drive on-road coupé, preceding the Audi Quattro by over a decade. Vehicle also included pioneering anti-lock brakes and a traction control system linked to them. Very expensive (£5,340; a Rolls-Royce was £6,670), and no LHD. Longer than standard Jensen Interceptor (1966–76) by 127 mm, mostly in the bonnet to accommodate the FF system. Extra cooling vents in front wings compared with Interceptor. Excellent handling, with no reduction in performance despite the extra weight. Minor revisions for Mk II from 1969; Mk III in 1971.
Marque: Jensen
