Reborn Insight, less innovative than ZE1 of 1999, and using some parts’ bin components to keep the cost down. Developed as a rival to [[Toyota Prius]], especially as Honda lost out sales-wise in the US despite having made it to that market earlier with a hybrid. Its main hybrid, the [[Honda Civic (2005–12)|Civic IMA]], was considered too similar in exterior appearance to the petrol model. Exceptional economy, acceptable handling, based on initial reports; rear-seat space limited.
