Haima S5. 2014 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1497, 1591 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Looking less like a Mazda wannabe and more its own work, S5 has an inoffensive, tidy design, with a high waistline and flowing (for an SUV) looks. Smaller than Haval H6 (2013–20) and Changan CS75 (2013–), which it targeted, but reasonable handling and feedback, and good equipment levels for the price. CVT did not make full use of the engine power—S5 was geared for comfort—while grip under hard driving poor.
