Ford Fairmont (EA77). 1996–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 3984 cm³ (I6 OHC), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). Final outing for the EA26-derived Fairmonts. Like Falcon, the handling was far better sorted, with standard driver’s airbag (passenger’s was optional). More luxury appointments. Head- and taillights were carried over, but the chromed grille was more prominent, and the bonnet had a noticeable bulge.
