Ford Fairlane (ZK). 1982–4 (prod. 16,896). 4-door sedan. F/R, 4098 cm³ (I6 OHV), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). Few changes externally, but six revised. Leaf springs changed for four-link suspension, including a Watt’s linkage at rear, for far improved handling. Boot floor deeper as a result of suspension change. Far more refined. However, the V8 was axed in 1983, with a fuel-injected version of the six introduced to take its place.
