From AutocadeDodge SE. 1972–5 (prod. 2,016 sold 1972–4). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3684 cm³ (I6 OHV). Based on the Australian Chrysler Valiant (VH), with the same nose, but containing the four headlamps of the flagship Chrysler (CH), not unlike the New Zealand-assembled Chrysler Valiant Regal 770. Switched to the CJ front end altogether in 1974, with indicators shifting below bumper, lengthening the car, and new hubcaps at that time; cruise control later that year. Long tail shared with the Australian Chrysler by Chrysler, but not on the LWB platform as that model: SE had the shorter 2,819 mm standard Valiant one. Flagship in South Africa, with locally made Chrysler slant-six instead of the Australian Hemi unit, replacing the earlier Valiant VIP. No V8s this time.
Marque: Dodge | Predecessor: Chrysler Valiant (1968–72) | Successor: Chrysler SE
