1977 Dodge Royal Monaco.jpg

Dodge Royal Monaco (C-body). 1977 (prod. n/a). 2- and 4-door hardtop sedan, 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 225 in³ (I6 OHV), 318, 360, 400, 440 in³ (V8 OHV). Renamed full-size Monaco, distinguishing it from downsized Monaco (really a renamed intermediate Coronet) for 1977. Longer, heavier and less reliable than 1969–73 “fuselage” series, but handled slightly better (by US standards) than comparable barges from Ford and GM, hence its use in law enforcement (along with equivalent Plymouth Gran Fury). Wheelbase at 122 in, wagons on 124 in.

Manufacturing location: USA

Marque: Dodge | Model: Dodge Monaco | Predecessor: Dodge Monaco (1974–6) | Successor: Dodge St Regis
