Revision as of 10:33, 14 July 2010Dodge Royal Monaco (C-body). 1975–7 (prod. unknown). 2- and 4-door hardtop sedan, 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 225 in³ (6 cyl. OHV), 318, 360, 400, 440 in³ (V8 OHV). Renamed version of 1974 Monaco, distinguishing full-sized model from downsized Monaco (really a renamed intermediate Coronet) of these years. Longer, heavier and less reliable than 1969–73 “fuselage” series, but handled slightly better (by US standards) than comparable barges from Ford and GM, hence its use in law enforcement (along with equivalent Plymouth Gran Fury (1975–7). Wheelbase at 122 in, wagons on 124 in.
