Citroën gets more adventurous again, with a new-generation C5 blending saloon, estate and SUV ideas, complete with 19-inch wheels as standard. EMP2 platform shared with [[Peugeot 308 (T51)]]; the cars even have common windscreens. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link at rear. Progressive hydraulic cushions used to enhance ride comfort; hybrids get electronically controlled dampers. Very light steering on the hybrid, better balanced on other models. Not that refined, with noisy drivetrain. Exported as Citroën C5 X; 1·2 for export only.
