Chrysler Valiant. 1963–7 (prod. 25,226 sold for V100 and Rebel only for 1965–72). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 3684 cm³ (I6 OHV). South African edition of the Plymouth Valiant (1963–6), riding the 106 in wheelbase, with changes that mirrored the US, usually a year later. Valiant Signet sedan initially, with range expanding for 1964 with addition of station wagon and a base 225 sedan. Eventually V100 and V200 designations were used for base and deluxe models. Rose to the top of the sales’ charts in South Africa by 1966.
