Chrysler Fifth Avenue
From AutocadeChrysler Fifth Avenue (M-body). 1984–9 (prod. 435,104). 4-door sedan. F/R, 5210 cm³ (V8 OHV). Another model year, another name change, the third in as many years. For 1984, the New Yorker tag was dropped for Chrysler’s flagship, with production peaking in 1985 as big cars became fashionable again in the US. Minor changes for the rest of the run, with vinyl roof extending lower from 1988. The run ended with the 1989 model year, and with it, the long-serving Aspen–Volaré platform.
