Bestune T99

Bestune T99. 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1989 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Medium–large (by Chinese standards) crossover from FAW, with turbocharged, direct-injection four delivering 224 PS. Despite the size, not designed as a seven-seater, but a large five-seater. Wheelbase at 2,870 mm. MacPherson struts at front, multi-link at rear, giving reasonably good handling and ride, absorbing bumps well. Good brakes; steering on the lighter side. Twenty-inch wheels, adding to a tougher appearance. Soft-touch materials in interior. Two 12·3 in LCD screens: one for instrumentation, the other for infotainment, complete with internet connectivity. Also featured Bestune’s holographic assistant atop the centre console, responding to voice commands. Adaptive cruise control. Well priced, as FAW aimed to increase sales.
