BYD Tang. 2015–18 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/A, 18·4 kWh–1991 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). BYD finally fits four-wheel drive to its SUV, and gives it a nose job, but the real news was the integration of its electric hybrid system. It was the first vehicle shown as part of BYD’s 5-4-2 strategy: 5 s to 100 km/h, four-wheel drive and 2 ℓ/100 km. Similar formula to the S7, which continued, but with a more sporting flavour.
