BMW X5 (F15). 2013–18 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/R, F/A, 1995 cm³ diesel, 1997 cm³–12 kWh petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC), 2979 cm³ petrol, 2993 cm³ diesel (I6 DOHC), 4395 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Longer, lower and wider than E70, but not by that much, though refreshingly some 200 lb lighter, and on the same wheelbase. New X5 was a little softer than before, and far more refined, though torquey engines and turbocharging made for excellent performance. Remained one of the most capable SUVs on the road and an excellent cruiser, with limited off-road capabilities due to the unibody construction.
