From AutocadeAustin A90 Westminster/Austin A105. 1954–6 (prod. 25,532 A90 only). 4-door saloon. F/R, 2639 cm³ (I6 OHV). A widened and lengthened Cambridge, with the doors from the smaller car, the A90 Westminster continued the earlier designation from the Austin A90 Atlantic, and featured BMC’s new C-series six under the bonnet. Independent front suspension with coils and wishbones, leaf springs with live axle at rear. A105 supplemented A90 Westminster in May 1956 with twin-SU carburetted C-series six, developing 102 bhp (up from 85 bhp) with 141 lb ft of torque (up from 130 lb ft). Both were replaced by the autumn, making the original “short boot” A105 particularly rare.
