Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. 1967-69 (prod. 18). 2-door coupe. F/R, 1995 cm³ (V8 cyl. DOHC). As 1960s supercars go, the 33 Stradale is possibly the most special of all. Although its V8 displaced a 'mere' 2-litres, the lightly detuned racing engined pushed out an impressive 227bhp, giving the 700kg car an exceptionally healthy power-to-weight ratio. But the 33 Stradale is a racing car for the road. Its body was built by Franco Scaglione, the final assembly was by Autodelta and, with only 18 made, these cars take rare-and-exclusive to another level. Tipo 33s almost never come up for sale, so coming up with a definitive value is almost impossible.
