Alfa Romeo Giulietta (Tipo 940). 2009 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1368, 1742 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1956 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Originally dubbed the Milano, the name for Alfa’s 147 replacement was changed at the eleventh hour to Giulietta, after it was pointed out that the name could be in bad taste after the company’s move of its styling centre away from the city. Production from 2009 though launched in 2010. Happier styling than with smaller MiTo. Début of new mid-sized platform. Handling appeals to most Alfisti, with the turbocharged 1·4 MultiAir, developing 170 bhp, the closest in spirit to Alfas of old.
