Very stylish sister car to [[Alfa Romeo Spider (916)]], also based on a Pininfarina proposal from the 1980s. Reworked at Centro Stile under Walter de’Silva, on the Tipo 2 platform, and, at launch, resembled nothing else on the market, reestablishing Alfa Romeo’s reputation as a maker of stylish, sport cars. New multi-link rear suspension; front suspension and drivetrain from [[Alfa Romeo 155]]. V6 particularly sweet, with excellent performance. Revisions in 1998 and 2003. Quality issues, which did not help the car retain its value.
