Škoda Superb (2015–)

Škoda Superb. 2015 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1395, 1984 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1968 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Škoda moves its flagship on to Volkswagen’s highly adaptable MQB platform. Huge stretch in wheelbase, up 80 mm on predecessor and 94 mm on Volkswagen Passat (B8), but only 28 mm more in overall length. Improved interior materials, and more commodious inside thanks to the wheelbase stretch. Conventional hatchback this time, although Superb retains its three-box proportions.
