Glas goes for the top end, introducing a Pietro Frua-styled grand tourer that was soon nicknamed the ‘Glaserati’ because of its similarity to the Maserati Quattroporte I, from the same designer. Engine related to four-cylinder Glas unit and good for 150 PS (168 PS SAE); parts’ bin raided for the rest of the car (e.g. Setra bus headlights, Mercedes-Benz window-winder mechanism, and Porsche door locks).
Marque: Glas | Successor: BMW–Glas 3000 GT
